"Backdoor Thief"


Girl molested in 'Hala' crowd: Police have arrested an Arab man for molesting a Kuwaiti girl. The daily quoting a security source said the incident took place on the Salem Al-Mubarak Street in Salmiya while the victim was walking with her mother, reports Al-Watan daily. It has been reported the suspect taking advantage of the 'Hala Feb' Festival crowd followed the girl and touched her private parts. The girl turned around, hit the man and screamed for help. The molester tried in vain to escape on foot. However, passersby seized him, beat him and handed him over to police. It has been reported the suspect is the manager of a well-known a café in Salmiya.

Suicide bid foiled: Timely arrival of police saved the life of a Kuwaiti youth who tried in vain to jump to his death from the sixth floor or a residential building, reports Al-Anba daily. A security source said a police patrol was dispatched to the area after the youth's friend telephone the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior. The same source said four other youths who were inside the apartment left before the arrival of police. The source added the youths were gambling and drinking alcohol and when the youth lost all his money, he decided to end his life.

Backdoor thief robs salon: Police are looking for an unidentified person who allegedly broke into a beauty salon in Salmiya and escaped with cosmetics and the passport of a female Indian employee, reports Al-Watan daily. The owner of the salon told police the thief broke into the salon through the back door. The door has also been damaged.

3 'assault' woman in car: Police have arrested three men - two Kuwaitis and a Saudi — for 'assaulting' a Kuwaiti woman, reports Al-Rai daily. A police source said the victim called the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry when the suspects forcibly entered her vehicle in front of the Al-Shaab Park and one of them allegedly took of his clothes, the other beat her and the Saudi man threatened to cause her more harm. A police patrol rushed to the spot and arrested the suspects. The daily did not give more details.
