‘The baby is not mine’, impotent husband accuses wife of adultery; Armed youth fails to ‘rape’ Australian woman

KUWAIT CITY: A Kuwaiti man has filed a complaint with the Public Prosecution accusing his Arab wife of giving birth to an illegitimate baby, reports Al-Anba daily. In his complaint the man said it is not possible that the wife was impregnated by him since his three earlier marriages had failed to produce any children because according to doctors he is impotent.

Australian woman assaulted: Police are looking for an armed unidentified youth for breaking into the apartment of a 32-year-old Australian woman in Salwa and threatening to kill her with a sharp object, reports Al-Watan daily. The victim told police she was surprised when the suspect, who spoke in Arabic, barged into her room and attempted to kiss her. However, when she screamed for help, he assaulted her and escaped.

3 drunkards assault 2 women: Po-lice have arrested three persons — an Iranian man and two Jordanians — for beating a Kuwait woman and her daughter, reports Al-Watan daily. The suspects were arrested after the woman called the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior. It has been reported the suspects were under the influence of alcohol.

Friends in liquor trade: Police have arrested three men — two Indians and a Pakistani — for trading in alcohol, reports Al-Watan daily. The suspects driving along the Sixth Ring Road were ordered to pull over for reckless driving and during a routine check of the vehicle found 27 bottles of alcohol. The men who were under the influence of alcohol are said to have admitted to trading in local brew.

Saudi man’s home robbed: Police are looking for an unidentified person who broke into the home of a Saudi man in Adan and escaped with women’s clothes, KD 50 in cash and jewelry worth KD 800, reports Al-Watan daily. In another unrelated incident an unidentified person stole KD 716 from the safe of a well-known restaurant in Al-Sha’ab Al-Bahari, the daily added.

Drunk youths assault couple: Police have arrested two Arabs youths for drinking alcohol and assaulting an unidentified Arab couple in Salmiya, reports Al-Watan daily. Securitymen later searched the car of the drunkards and seized a bottle of alcohol.

Alcohol sold thru mall shop: Acting on information and armed with a search and arrest warrant, police raided a store in a well-known shopping complex in Nugra and arrested two Asians for selling alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily. During the raid police seized 169 bottles of alcohol and referred the men to the Public Prosecution.

Khan sells embassy liquor: Police have arrested an Asian man, identified only as Khan, for trading in alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily quoting a security source said police acting on information put the bootlegger under surveillance and caught him red-handed in possession of bottles of alcohol. During interrogation the suspect said he bought the alcohol from an employee working for the embassy of an Asian country. Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been informed about the employee and the embassy for necessary action.

Citizen, whisky carton seized: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti man for trading in foreign liquor, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily quoting a reliable security source said personnel from the Anti-Narcotics Department put the suspect under surveillance, set a trap for him and caught him red-handed while selling a carton of Red Label whisky to an undercover police agent for KD 540. The contraband and the suspect have been referred to the authorities.

Abducted Asian woman freed: The Fintas police have freed an unidentified Asian woman who had been kidnapped and detained for four days inside an apartment in the area because she refused to practice prostitution, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily quoting a security source said police acting on information provided by unidentified passersby broke into the apartment and rescued the woman. It has been reported the victim seeing her captors were not around screamed for help and passersby who heard her screams informed the police.
Police are looking for the kidnappers.

Police officer threatened: A police officer in the rank of a major has filed a complaint with the police accusing a compatriot of threatening to cause him harm, reports Al-Watan daily. The police officer said the suspect thinks it is he who was behind the suspension of a policeman who was under his command in the same department.

Egyptian demands damages: An Egyptian man has filed a complaint with the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station against the owner of a shopping complex in the area for causing damage to his car and injury to his face, reports Al-Watan daily. It is surprising the man is claiming compensation from the owner of shop although it is the complainant who lost control over his vehicle and crashed into the façade of the shop. The daily did not give more details.

Dog found, not stolen: An unidentified Kuwaiti man who had filed a report with the Jabriya Police Station accusing an unidentified person of stealing his dog from the vicinity of his home says he has found his dog, reports Al-Watan daily.

60-year-old doing drugs?: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti man in his 60s for possessing narcotic pills, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily quoting a reliable security source police asked the man to show his identification papers after they saw him parking his car in a suspicious manner. The man also appeared under the influence of drugs. Police then searched his vehicle and found 13 narcotics pills hidden in the car.
