KUWAIT: A 16-year-old Kuwaiti living in Jahra lodged a complaint against two brothers accusing them of sexually harassing him. Police referred the case to the public prosecutor who suspected the allegations and demanded further investigations to be done in the case. On being initially interrogated by detectives the young man told them that two Kuwaiti brothers along with their fifteen friends sodomized him in a desert camp in Al-Zour. Then on being instructed by the public prosecutor to delve further into the case, the young man admitted that he was closely associated with the sister of the two brothers and that they frequently conversed through their mobiles, adding, "when her brothers found out, they asked me to meet them to settle things out." He said since he was afraid of meeting them alone, he asked his friend to accompany him, who were both shocked to see the gang there. He added that the gang then forced him and his friend to have sex together while they recorded the entire act on their mobile phones' cameras, after which the entire gang of seventeen then sodomized both of them and threatened to flood Kuwait with the clips if they ever talked or recalled their sister. KUWAIT: Kuwaitis and expatriates celebrated the country's National Day and Liberation Day yesterday in different ways. Many locals were seen spending their day strolling the main roads of Kuwait City blowing horns and proudly waving their national flag. While some expatriates preferred to stay home instead, there were some who braved themselves and spend their day at the gardens, seaside and movie theatre to make the three-day holiday special. The malls all over Kuwait especially those at Salmiya and Sharq Market were seen filled with shoppers which started from Sunday. The bay area from Messilla, Salwa, Salmiya down to Kuwait City in front of the new oil building were also seen by this reporter filled with revellers, some enjoying the day with their children of various activities such as kite flying, football and barbeques.

But most of the local youngsters in Kuwait ushers this celebration with a white flare, a snow like spray used by many to shower cars and people while celebrating on the Gulf Road, the main high-way for the celebration. Dozens of police cars and officers were dispatched to many parts of Kuwait to manage the festivity but no police have stopped the kids from spraying people inside and outside their cars. According to them, anyway, these young children are just having fun. There was an unlucky taxi driver, who was cornered and sprayed all over his face and body when a young revellers managed to open his car while passing past the group. He slowly left without a word. "We are call taxi, we receive a telephone from this area from a regular customer. Unfortunately this young kids managed to open my car and sprayed. I cannot do anything. They are just too many to control. I just hate coming to this place at this time. I knew, it will happen," the poor taxicab driver said when asked by this paper why he forgot to lock his door.

Some petty car accidents were also seen on the Gulf Road, a place where National Day revellers were seen converging themselves to commemorate these two great days.

I'm Rick James, Bitch?

According to The Daily Star's (Kuwait Edition) celebrity birthdays section, today (February 1st) sees the following celebrities grow a year older: Robert Paschall Jr (29), Big Boi (32), Lisa Marie Presley (39), Pauly Shore (39), Sherilyn Fenn (42), Rick James (59), and Sherman Hemsley (59).

The problem, dear readers, is that this information is highly ludicrous. And this is why:

1 - Has anyone ever heard of Robert Paschall Jr? Thats right, you haven't. Its because he is not a celebrity at all. He is an electrician. "Bobby" has contributed his stellar electrical know-how to such award winning audio-visual treats as "Power Rangers: Wild Force" and "Walker, Texas Ranger". I understand that our definition of celebrity is pretty blurred these days, but an electrician? Thats pushing it. Also, in my quest to find this obscure gentleman on the internet (and it was a difficult quest, spurred by mind-numbing boredom), i found out that his birthday is actually on the 31st of January. They couldn't even get that right.

2 - Rick James apparently celebrates his 59th birthday today. Well, there's just one problem with that: He died on August 6th 2004 - at the tender age of 56. It's funny that no one bothered to look that up prior to going to press..

3 - Sherman Hemsley (of "All in the family" & "The Jeffersons") actually turns 69 today, not 59 as printed in The Daily Star.

While I understand that, in truth, no one really cares about these minute details. But a respectable publication should! It is important to shed light on these issues: that way, you can look out for any more handymen and/or deceased celebrities in the next edition..
