Transvestite flees ‘mates’: Three persons, including a girl believed to be a transvestite, have been referred to police for interrogation, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily quoting a security source said police detained the suspects when they saw a semi-nude ‘girl’ running across a road after she had escaped from the car of the two youths.When she saw the police she requested securitymen to take her to her vehicle which was parked in front of a well-known restaurant. The girl and the two youths were high on alcohol and later police discovered the girl is a transvestite, who had been having fun with the two youths in their vehicle and escaped from the vehicle after the youths requested to continue their orgy in a camp at an unidentified location.

"Backdoor Thief"


Girl molested in 'Hala' crowd: Police have arrested an Arab man for molesting a Kuwaiti girl. The daily quoting a security source said the incident took place on the Salem Al-Mubarak Street in Salmiya while the victim was walking with her mother, reports Al-Watan daily. It has been reported the suspect taking advantage of the 'Hala Feb' Festival crowd followed the girl and touched her private parts. The girl turned around, hit the man and screamed for help. The molester tried in vain to escape on foot. However, passersby seized him, beat him and handed him over to police. It has been reported the suspect is the manager of a well-known a café in Salmiya.

Suicide bid foiled: Timely arrival of police saved the life of a Kuwaiti youth who tried in vain to jump to his death from the sixth floor or a residential building, reports Al-Anba daily. A security source said a police patrol was dispatched to the area after the youth's friend telephone the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior. The same source said four other youths who were inside the apartment left before the arrival of police. The source added the youths were gambling and drinking alcohol and when the youth lost all his money, he decided to end his life.

Backdoor thief robs salon: Police are looking for an unidentified person who allegedly broke into a beauty salon in Salmiya and escaped with cosmetics and the passport of a female Indian employee, reports Al-Watan daily. The owner of the salon told police the thief broke into the salon through the back door. The door has also been damaged.

3 'assault' woman in car: Police have arrested three men - two Kuwaitis and a Saudi — for 'assaulting' a Kuwaiti woman, reports Al-Rai daily. A police source said the victim called the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry when the suspects forcibly entered her vehicle in front of the Al-Shaab Park and one of them allegedly took of his clothes, the other beat her and the Saudi man threatened to cause her more harm. A police patrol rushed to the spot and arrested the suspects. The daily did not give more details.

"Love-Hit" Youth


Love-hit youth attempts suicide: A Kuwaiti youth who tried in vain to end his life by slitting his wrist, has been admitted to a hospital, reports Al-Watan daily. It has been reported the youth was obsessed because the family of the girl whom he loved had refused his hand in marriage. So went to her house and slit his wrist.

Hoax murder call irks police: Police are looking for an unidentified person for disturbing police, reports Al-Watan daily. It has been reported the caller telephone to say an unidentified person had been murdered in Ahmadi. The call turned out to be a hoax. Police failed to reach the caller because he has put off his cell phone.

Cheat spouse assaults wife: A Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Bayan Police Station accusing her husband of beating her and forcing her to sign a document stating she has received from him KD 3,000 after she caught him red-handed in the embrace of an Asian woman, reports Al-Watan daily. The husband is said to have also locked his wife in the bedroom and helped the other woman to escape. The woman has submitted a medical report showing bruises on her body.

Valentine revellers hauled in: Police rushed to an unidentified location in Al-Bida’a and dispersed a group of youngsters — male and female — who were celebrating Valentine’s Day in front of the house of French consul to Kuwait, reports Al-Watan daily. This came after the consul telephoned the security authorities complaining about the disturbances.

Flirting Son


Top official’s son caught ‘flirting’: Police have arrested a 37-year-old Kuwaiti man, identified only as H., and believed to be the son of an unidentified former undersecretary for sending emails to a Lebanese woman urging her to perform indecent acts and forging documents with the help of which be was able to get her mobile telephone number without her knowledge, reports Al-Rai daily. The woman said the man was the reason why she lost her job at a local company because he is said to have sent an e-mail to the manager of her company saying she was the cause of the problem. The man who was arrested in front of his home in Mishref has admitted to sending e-mails to the woman. He also claimed he was maintaining a relationship with her and that she broke off when he went back on his promise to marry her.

Family probed in maid death: Police have detained an Egyptian family for interrogation for allegedly pushing to death an Indian maid, identified only as Teety, from the balcony of their apartment in Farwaniya, reports Al-Watan daily. The daily quoting a security source said the Egyptian sponsor, after allegedly pushing the 29-year-old maid to her death, called the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior and reported that his maid had jumped from the balcony of the apartment in an apparent attempt to end her life. The maid who survived the fall was rushed to a hospital. However, she died a short time later. The family was detained for interrogation after an unidentified nurse at the hospital told the hospital interrogator that the victim before her death said she was being tortured by her sponsor and thrown down from the balcony of the apartment.

Maid injured in escape bid: An Indonesian maid, whose identity has not been disclosed, has been admitted to the Mubarak Al-Kabeer hospital with serious injuries and broken limbs, reports Al-Anba daily. A reliable security source, quoting the maid’s sponsor, told the daily the maid fell from the third floor apartment while attempting to climb down with the help of a ‘rope’ made of bed sheets in an attempt to escape from his home. The rope allegedly snapped when the maid was halfway and fell in the building compound. However, police said to be waiting for the maid to recover to take her statement.

Idiot with a Bomb


Man caught planting bomb: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti man in connection with planting a hand grenade in the car park of Al-Shaab market, reports Al-Rai daily.The daily quoting a reliable security source said the suspect called the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior saying 'someone' had planted a hand grenade in the market. However, when police rushed to the place, cordoned off the area and confronted the caller, he appeared confused and during interrogations admitted that it was he who put the bomb there. The man has been referred to authorities.

‘The baby is not mine’, impotent husband accuses wife of adultery; Armed youth fails to ‘rape’ Australian woman

KUWAIT CITY: A Kuwaiti man has filed a complaint with the Public Prosecution accusing his Arab wife of giving birth to an illegitimate baby, reports Al-Anba daily. In his complaint the man said it is not possible that the wife was impregnated by him since his three earlier marriages had failed to produce any children because according to doctors he is impotent.

Australian woman assaulted: Police are looking for an armed unidentified youth for breaking into the apartment of a 32-year-old Australian woman in Salwa and threatening to kill her with a sharp object, reports Al-Watan daily. The victim told police she was surprised when the suspect, who spoke in Arabic, barged into her room and attempted to kiss her. However, when she screamed for help, he assaulted her and escaped.

3 drunkards assault 2 women: Po-lice have arrested three persons — an Iranian man and two Jordanians — for beating a Kuwait woman and her daughter, reports Al-Watan daily. The suspects were arrested after the woman called the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior. It has been reported the suspects were under the influence of alcohol.

Friends in liquor trade: Police have arrested three men — two Indians and a Pakistani — for trading in alcohol, reports Al-Watan daily. The suspects driving along the Sixth Ring Road were ordered to pull over for reckless driving and during a routine check of the vehicle found 27 bottles of alcohol. The men who were under the influence of alcohol are said to have admitted to trading in local brew.

Saudi man’s home robbed: Police are looking for an unidentified person who broke into the home of a Saudi man in Adan and escaped with women’s clothes, KD 50 in cash and jewelry worth KD 800, reports Al-Watan daily. In another unrelated incident an unidentified person stole KD 716 from the safe of a well-known restaurant in Al-Sha’ab Al-Bahari, the daily added.

Drunk youths assault couple: Police have arrested two Arabs youths for drinking alcohol and assaulting an unidentified Arab couple in Salmiya, reports Al-Watan daily. Securitymen later searched the car of the drunkards and seized a bottle of alcohol.

Alcohol sold thru mall shop: Acting on information and armed with a search and arrest warrant, police raided a store in a well-known shopping complex in Nugra and arrested two Asians for selling alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily. During the raid police seized 169 bottles of alcohol and referred the men to the Public Prosecution.

Khan sells embassy liquor: Police have arrested an Asian man, identified only as Khan, for trading in alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily quoting a security source said police acting on information put the bootlegger under surveillance and caught him red-handed in possession of bottles of alcohol. During interrogation the suspect said he bought the alcohol from an employee working for the embassy of an Asian country. Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been informed about the employee and the embassy for necessary action.

Citizen, whisky carton seized: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti man for trading in foreign liquor, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily quoting a reliable security source said personnel from the Anti-Narcotics Department put the suspect under surveillance, set a trap for him and caught him red-handed while selling a carton of Red Label whisky to an undercover police agent for KD 540. The contraband and the suspect have been referred to the authorities.

Abducted Asian woman freed: The Fintas police have freed an unidentified Asian woman who had been kidnapped and detained for four days inside an apartment in the area because she refused to practice prostitution, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily quoting a security source said police acting on information provided by unidentified passersby broke into the apartment and rescued the woman. It has been reported the victim seeing her captors were not around screamed for help and passersby who heard her screams informed the police.
Police are looking for the kidnappers.

Police officer threatened: A police officer in the rank of a major has filed a complaint with the police accusing a compatriot of threatening to cause him harm, reports Al-Watan daily. The police officer said the suspect thinks it is he who was behind the suspension of a policeman who was under his command in the same department.

Egyptian demands damages: An Egyptian man has filed a complaint with the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station against the owner of a shopping complex in the area for causing damage to his car and injury to his face, reports Al-Watan daily. It is surprising the man is claiming compensation from the owner of shop although it is the complainant who lost control over his vehicle and crashed into the façade of the shop. The daily did not give more details.

Dog found, not stolen: An unidentified Kuwaiti man who had filed a report with the Jabriya Police Station accusing an unidentified person of stealing his dog from the vicinity of his home says he has found his dog, reports Al-Watan daily.

60-year-old doing drugs?: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti man in his 60s for possessing narcotic pills, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily quoting a reliable security source police asked the man to show his identification papers after they saw him parking his car in a suspicious manner. The man also appeared under the influence of drugs. Police then searched his vehicle and found 13 narcotics pills hidden in the car.
